Hanukkah Lesson or Tutorial
Hanukkah Lesson or Tutorial
Lesson or form time tutorial / assembly resource on the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The lesson looks at the story behind the festival and ways in which it is celebrated including the option of either creating a dreidel using a template or a creative task, the tutorial / assembly (may require some editing) does not include a practical task.
This is an easy to follow power point lesson. The lesson has been planned to last for about 60 minutes and the tutorial / assembly 20 minutes however they, like all of our resources, are fully editable meaning that like all of our lessons, activities could be added, removed or changed.
No previous knowledge in this subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced Religious Education teacher. The lessons contain pronunciation prompts to allow for teacher confidence when using religious vocabulary and answers to questions for pupils.
Lesson includes -
Starter and plenary task to demonstrate learning and progression
Clear and accurate information
Written tasks
Video clip activity
Creative task options
Short, engaging tasks
Extension activities
