Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 lesson or tutor time / assembly resource covering this year’s topic of community. The lesson considers what mental health is, what pupils have done which is beneficial for their own mental health, the aim of mental health awareness week and the benefits of community for maintaining good mental health. The lesson finishes by returning to some other ways pupils can support their own mental health. Previews show examples of some slides included in the lesson

This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required . The resource is designed to be delivered as one 20-25 / 60 minute session but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so. You may wish to print out the community sheets which are part of the lesson option however these could also be drawn in books or on paper.

No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced PSHE teacher. Lesson meets current PSHE guidance.
